Information we use
We receive your purchase email, ordered products, prices, payment references and status, order agreement, support messages and email delivery history. We record authorised download requests to protect access and troubleshoot delivery. Stripe collects payment and billing details; we do not receive full card numbers or card security codes. Hosting and payment providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and security logs. Provide adult contact details and avoid submitting children’s personal information.
Why we use it
We use order and contact information to enter and fulfil your purchase contract, deliver files, handle support and administer refunds. We use accounting records to meet legal obligations. We use limited security, access and delivery records for our legitimate interests in preventing fraud, protecting purchases and maintaining a reliable service. Optional analytics and checkout reminders rely on your consent, which you can withdraw. We do not make eligibility decisions about you using automated profiling.
Providers and international processing
GoDaddy hosts the website, MySQL database, private product files and email delivery gateway. Stripe processes payments, billing and refunds under its own privacy information. Google Analytics receives limited browsing and shopping events only after consent. Our hosting is in North America and providers may process information outside the UK. Cross-border processing is subject to applicable data protection requirements and the safeguards in the providers’ processing arrangements. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data. We do not sell your purchase email or use it for unrelated advertising.
Order emails and optional reminders
Necessary emails include order confirmation, receipt and access links, payment or refund updates, and support replies. They are sent from support@youngmogulsbooks.com with replies to support@aiexplorerkids.com. An unfinished-checkout reminder is separate and optional: we send at most one when you opt in, and include an unsubscribe link. Opting out of reminders does not stop necessary order communications.
Cookies and browser storage
Browser storage remembers your cart product IDs and cookie choice. A secure authentication cookie supports owner sign-in. These support the service and are separate from optional analytics. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics measures public page visits and product/shopping events; our controlled tracking excludes private receipt and download URLs and does not send purchase emails or card details. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics tracking; it does not undo processing already carried out lawfully.
Reviews
Only a verified paid buyer can submit a review through an order link. Approved reviews display the chosen name, rating and feedback publicly, not the purchase email. Do not include identifying information about a child. Contact support if you want to correct or remove a published review.
How long information is needed
We retain purchase and payment records while needed to supply access, handle refunds and disputes and meet applicable accounting obligations. Retention depends on the relevant accounting period and legal requirement; records needed for a dispute may be held until it is resolved. Support, delivery and security records are kept only while needed for their purpose and reviewed for deletion or anonymisation. Backup copies may remain until their normal rotation. The expiry of a receipt, review or download link does not itself delete the underlying order record. Contact us for the retention criteria applying to your order.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time. We may need to confirm your identity without asking for unnecessary information. Some records must be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve claims. Contact support@aiexplorerkids.com; we normally respond to UK data-rights requests within one month, subject to any lawful extension. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or your relevant local supervisory authority.
